It's like two minutes from the convention. --off topic-- We're going on one of the days to the movies (they're right down the road too!) to watch Harry Potter. If anyone would like to go, just find a tall Naruto with a short Hinata and let me know!
Posted: Tue Jul 07, 2009 8:45 pmHmm luckily I won't be having to deal with this proble, I live only a few miles away from the hotel, so I'l just be chilling at my house. But I can offer advice for those who want a room at the Plaza.
For Anime Matsuri my dad had forgotten to call and reserve a room, so two weeks before the con, I called and they and the other close by hotels were completely packed for the cons. I called back at every given hour of the day and the night before the con someone had cancelled their reservation, So I got a room.
My advice, annoy the hell outta their phone lines and they'll get you a room

Posted: Tue Jul 21, 2009 1:46 amChris, the guy who ran the Animix and Match dating, and the AMV competition, has sworn the following. If we ever get stuck with the Jay-Dubs on the same weekend, no matter the hotel, he's going to get two other guys to dress in all black and long silver wigs, and he and they are going to sit in on their convention stuff. I've volunteered for that, I've always wondered what it would be like to spread the word of Hojo...
And Ali, no, sadly, they didn't all avoid the convention areas. Seems a few of them were harassing some of the attendees this year, at least until security came and "had a word with them." Still wish they'd just get their rooms at the hotels up near the Expo center that they're holding their actual events at, the schmucks.
