I thought it would be cool to put up a topic where you can talk about previous cons you've been to, and cosplays that you've done in the past. ^-^ This will be the second con that I've ever gone to. My first con was Anime Matsuri 2008. It was pretty fun. I cosplayed as Reno and my friend went as Vincent. Sadly we were only able to stay for one day. So this will be my first time to experience an entire con.

You probably should've put a little bit more numbers up there for choices... My magic number is 19. Ani-Mix will be my 20th anime convention.
I've been cosplaying since 2004, when I started collecting my badges, but I lost Ushicon '05's badge I think I left it in the hotel. ^^ _________________ The Great Organizer,

This is going to be my very first con. I never had the time or the transportation to make it to a con before. I'm really excited

This will be my second. My first was Ikkicon 2 this past February. It was great! I didn't cosplay, but I stayed all three days and had a blast, even without knowing anyone. I totally caught the con-bug!

Yeah, I guess I'm that wierd Otaku girl^^ I spend my money going to conventions instead of buying things. That's going to change now that I'll have to have some responsibility:P Moving out for the first time. _________________ The Great Organizer,

Hm. AniMix will be my sixth convention, but my first as just an attendee.
I've worked A-Kon 17, 18, and 19, AnimeFest 2007, and Ikkicon 2.
I still have San Japan, AnimeFest, and OniCon to go to this year. Then I'll start 2009 off with Ikkicon 3 and the cycle will begin again. _________________ "The road remains wide open while your dreams are alive. Only fear can block the way." =Iron-tail Fratley= (FF IX)

opps i thought that i had put on there 5 or more but i guess i didnt. I want to be a volunteer at anime matsuri next year. But i must admit this year it didn't seem very well put together. They moved the opening ceremonies from a good sized room to a tiny room, which sucked. Because i couldnt fit into the room, which wasn't much bigger than my living room.Is this the first animix convention?

I'm really excited to be a part of this new convention! I can't wait to go! (Even if I can't get my friend's costume done in time.) _________________ The Great Organizer,

I might end up helping my firend with her aerith costume. ^-^ I'm so glad I finally found a jacket that isn't super huge on me but still looks like a guys jacket. Even found a skirt so that I dont have to wear my gothic lolita dress for the yuki cosplay. Here's a good tip if you dont like to do a lot of sewing. Go to a local good will/resale shop. Perferably one that has lots of clothing, you can find clothing that is either exactly what your looking for, or easily altered to match what you want.

I've been to Oni-con 06(random Lolita) and 07(Neko Sasuke,Hinata and a few random), Anime Matsuri 07(Hinata) and 08(Shippuden Sakura) and Atsui-con 07(Sexy-no-Jutsu Shippuden Naruto). The only one I actually stayed for three whole days, were at Oni-con 07. I met osme people. c:
And I totally went broke in the dealers rooms. ; - ;
I'm going to have to try and stay away from there this time.
Also, I WAS going to try and cosplay Yuffie AC version but It wont get here in time, So I'll be wearing my Kimono... or somthing...

I suppose this will be my third. I've attended Linucon 2 and Ushicon 5. I got in free for both of them since I won Ushicon's comic contest. xD
I've never cosplayed...I don't even know where to begin. ^^;

Just pick one of your favorite anime or bideo game characters and look for clothing like theirs. Or just check out your closet to see what ya have that resembles the clothes of one of your favorite characters. As much as I hate to admit it it's not very hard to do an okay cosplay of a turk. I had the clothes laying around, I was actualy supposed to go as axel so my hair was already red. I just tied it back the morning of the convention and my friend was like, "Hey You look like Reno. You should cosplay as him" So i did.

Owhee~ I've been to A-kon up in Dallas several times. A-kon 14, A-kon 15, Itzacon(a smaller a-kon run by the same staff), A-kon 17, and this year, A-kon 19.
I normally cosplay each time but this year I didn't get to at A-kon 19 because my costume wasn't finished in time.
Character's I've cosplayed as were
Rath from the manga Dragon Knights
a school girl lmao
Ginkan and Crim from .hack//SIGN
and Aerith
For A-kon 19 I was supposed to go as Eureka with my fiance going as Renton from Eureka 7 but we didn't cosplay since my costume wasn't finished x_x _________________

Cool. I just hope I can remember to take a lot of pictures and stuff at this con. The last one I went to just overwhelmed me, there was so much to see and check out. I didnt even think of taking pictures, plus i didn't have that great of a camera. So the pictures I took didn't turn out all that great. But I did get some good ones. http://youtube.com/watch?v=c-CUeT3zMnE It's the vid I made of anime Matsuri. If ya want to check it out.
