So anyways, introductions... Yeah, I am Haelcent, my real name will remain a mystery for as long as I can keep it that way. I live here in Killeen, with family.

Honestly, I've never been to a convention of any sort. And, though I was planning on a different convention being my first, that con is further away, while this con is right up the road, so I decided to keep things simple for now.

I like to draw, though my skills are limited, as I tend to be lazy when it comes to practice. I am also a bit of a gamer, though nothing hardcore. My current systems of choice are the Wii and the XBOX 360, though I rarely play either anymore. Current cartoon obsessions are freakazoid and thundercats. Lastly, I work at Harker Heights Wal-mart So much fun *sarcasm*

So now that you all know more about me than needed, I will return to my hiding place in the shadows.

Haelcent, Animix is a nifty place to start convention-wise. It's small, not too expensive and not too crowded. It was my first convention and although it doesn't have all the flash and fireworks of some of the bigger cons it's still fun to just go and relax with people who enjoy the same stuff you do without having to deal with all the bad aspects of a larger con. Small cons first, then work your way up. By the time you make it to the big time cons you'll know exactly what to do, where to go, who to avoid and what to avoid so that you can have the best con experience possible.

Hello everyone! Forum newbie here! I was Animix last year (I was Sailor Luna) but was only there Friday. I may be able to make it up there again, depending on work....
I agree with ConstellationWaltz about the smaller cons....they're more of a social network, but some of the panels were fun! (I loved the Naruto VS Deathnote panel! Tug of war rocked!)
If I do go, it'll probably be on a Saturday (so I'm not the only one in costume, and will either wear my Sailor Venus or Shampoo costume that I wore for Ikkicon 3)....

Yay! It's nice to be remembered! I'm still debating what costume to wear up there, my more recent ones have come out better, but the Shampoo one....had unexpected kinks. Everyone thought I was Human Luna. Must have been the yellow dress/dark hair combination. I'll have to switch to Shampoo's more traditional pink dress.

Is anyone attending Cosplay Day Out at the end of March?

I dont really cosplay so I wont be at Cosplay Day Out. I've attempted some costumes in the past and helped friends with theirs, but things never seem to work out when I try to dress up myself XD.

Mine are always trial and error. I'll be going INCREDIBLY slow on the Evangelion plugsuit I'm making, since stretch vinyl is a little expensive... I'm hoping to have my Nene Thomas Red Hearts fairy done for Cosplay Day Out. Looks like I'll be sewing/gluing for spring break...

Hey you guys.

I've been on the fourms for a while but since we are introducing ourselves i decided to take part.

I was at Animix last year walkin around with a video camera covering it for the newspaper. Luckly this year i won't have to work so i can have fun prolly dress up and enjoy the Con to the fullest. I so can't wait to see the Slants again as well as looking forward in Meeting Johnny Young Bosch and his band Eyeshine. Listen to some of there stuff a while back and liked it.

Animix was my first Con and it was fun to experience. I might Cosplay but we will see how that goes down.

I'll be goin to Mizumi-Con in San Antonio and then A-kon up in Dallas before hitting up Animix once again in my own town of Killeen.

Nice meetin you all before me and those after me. Lets have fun and get the forum up and goin.
