If you're looking for anyone in particular, there's this thread for that. :)

In general...I was in pink and black hoopskirt'd dress with veil on Friday. Grey pleated skirt on Saturday with a white tank top or button-up (depending on when). Random blue-plaid+red-apron lolita-ish-thing on Sunday.

I would love to get in contact with people (especially very local ones, like in or around Killeen) about working on some kind of monthly meet-up thing where we can just hang out in the bookstore or mall or something. Best way to contact me is by email, babelglyph@gmail.com .

I was Hitsuguya for part of Friday and then Ikkaku for part of Saturday.

You know what i was thinking the same thing. Tryin to have a monthly meet up and what not would be cool. Even trying to hace a 1 day con like The people of San-Japan had would be awesome as well if and when we get to that point. Do any of the High Schools have an anime club??

With meet ups it's just lettin people know we're here and what we are doing. Even if its only 10 people at first we just can't get discouraged. But I'm all for everything. If we really work on it we can have one before the school year starts.

Hello, my name is Greg. I was the employee at the plaza and volunteer for the convention. I'm a big Gundam fan (love em all) but I'm a gamer at heart. I'm very impressed with the community here.

I'm originally from Alaska, eventhough I'm just visiting Ive taken a liking to being here. I draw, write, love music, and gaming. I got my sn from a friend which is short for alquida(spl?). I'm in no way affiliated lol, but when it comes to the gaming... I enjoy tekken, sf, bb, ggxxac, and ff series. My favorite bands are rammstiein, nightwish(post (tarja solo stuff is great aswell.)), and blue october.

Anyway just want to say thanks to everyone who made the event possible. You may keep in contact with me: gmarks@live.com, myspace.com/kaidakrusha or if you have a psn acct. kaida.

Hey, Michael here. I was the big, dark-haired Staff guy in the Hiro(Lunar 2: Eternal Blue) outfit for both the wedding and part of Friday. For those that likely don't recognize that character, that involved a blue top, black pants with white leggings wrapped around the bottom, and an orange cloak. If you've got this weird yen to get in touch with me(can't imagine why, now I come to think of it XD) give me a buzz at sorata_yuy@hotmail.com.

Yeah a meeting would be nice for those of us in the area. Heck if we can find a place to sit down we could even watch some anime! In case you guys are wondering who this weirdo is I was the one volunteer who got stuck in the video room hahaha. I didnt mind I liked it there. I just wish I was informed earlier so I could have brought better anime with me instead of playing of the limited items we had. I'm sorry! XD Anyway I was also dressed as the Night Class Prefect (most everyone will remember me more as the guy running around with the radio trying to find everyone while operating the AV room lol)

Hey Nura I got your pic of you and Eyeshine on myspace...i think i put the link in the post your pics thread....I was reborn for part of Friday (before I decided dying of heat stroke would suck), Kakashi for part of Saturday (short with glasses and was glomped/attacked by a horde of fangirls in the hand signs panel), and Maka in her ballgown from Soul Eater on Saturday night for the wedding/concert (black dress, blonde pigtails...easily mistaken for Misa Misa). I had a blast at the con....anyone going to San-Japan?

The con was so much fun, and I think everyone made new friends. I can't wait for next year!

I was the one wearing a short green wig and a swamp green shirt and had an ocarina around my neck on saturday.
And a shirt with the shield of Hyrule and an objection sign on Sunday.

I hope we can make things even better next time! :D

Maybe we could make like a local Anime club. Sure we'll start off small but as time goes on I'm sure we could get more members. Some ideas that i have been running over.

Anime Viewing Parties - Arrange some day pull the Pocky out and watch some anime. Have some discussions about it and what not but most of all enjoy ourselves.

Manga Discussion - Think of it as Oprah's book club but of course its manga.

Cosplay workshops - We come together and talk about cosplay help those out who need it. Learning how to style wigs and what not.

Video game nights - Whether we decided to hit the arcade up. Or have a gathering to play some video games.

Dinner - Come on know who doesn't love to eat. We could even make some bento's and have a picnic in the park.

I think all this and more is possible. I know one concern people would have is where would we meet. One place of Interest could be the Harker Heights Library. I've also been looking into the Killeen Community Center as well. Those rooms require a reservation and cost. I'll have to check on the cost but im sure it's not that bad. If it's not i wouldn't mind paying for our first meet up and activity. I'm sure if we can get this rolling we could have fundraisers and what not and really bring in some people.

So just tell me what you think about it. I think it would be great for us. So if your interested in it let me know i'll list my contact/networking info and we can take it from there. If it starts as just 5 of us then so be it but as time goes on im sure we could really do it.

The name is Corey, I was in the Bleach vs. One Piece Anime Tug-of-War.

might want to make a new thread for an anime club--I think it has potential. Talk to the library people--it might be possible to have it as a library-sponsored program rather than having to pay for the use of the space.

I think personally I would prefer something informal, just meeting up somewhere to hang out. I'd love a bento picnic in the park, though. <3
