Let me know what you guys think about the Shiloh Inn? Too ritzy for our fun lovin' anime crowd?????

Hmmm the Shiloh is pretty Ritzy. If they have the room then that would be cool. But as long as they can handle us I'm all for it.

The Shilo doesnt have enough room in my opinion and it's expensive. They have only a few rooms on the ground floor and they arent that big then they have 2 more rooms but they are up on the 6th floor.

I checked out the Howard Johnson earlier today(Tuesday for me, as I haven't racked out yet). First and foremost - I was struck by a wave of air-conditioning as I stepped inside. Always a good thing. As well, I asked about their facilities, and they do have a ballroom that's even bigger than their lobby(and that's including space in the direction of up.) Their lobby is pretty danged big in the first place, so yet another good sign.

I'll check on the Shiloh tomorrow and see if I can get a definite number from them regarding square footage for the facilities we hope to use.

Does the howard johnson have anymore rooms? Is it just the one big ballroom?

Could someone check that out for me?

Checked it out again earlier today - it's four ballrooms. Two connected, two in different rooms across from each other in the same hallway. Will be calling them in the morning to inquire about their conference room-space.

And on a side-note, checked the Plaza Hotel on trip-advisor.com - and wow are there some real horror stories about it. Didn't realize what they did to us this year until I read that rating. Yikes.

That doesn't sound all that bad. Hope their rates are good.
